Channeling - The act or practice of serving as a medium through which a spirit guide communicates with living persons.

Clairaudience (clear hearing) - Hearing voices, music and other sounds that do not have a physical source. Clairaudience includes hearing voices of those on the other side, as well as sounds of the past, as in old buildings with paranormal activity. This is often considered a form of channeling.

Claircognizance (clear knowing)- Having knowledge of certain places, people, or situations without having the information to know. This can be in the form of premonitions.

Clairsentience (clear feeling) - ‘Feeling’ things about people or situations that are otherwise impossible to know. People with the ability of Clairsentience often refer to it as their ‘gut instinct’. These people are very sensitive to energies and emotions of other people and negative energies can often cause a sickening feeling in the stomach.

Extra-sensory perception (ESP) - ability to acquire information by paranormal means independent of any known physical senses or deduction from previous experience.  ESP is also sometimes casually referred to as a sixth sense, gut instinct, hunch, or intuition. The term implies sources of information currently unexplained by science.

Medium - A person who is able to communicate with those who have passed away.

Paranormal - Unusual experiences that lack a scientific explanation, or phenomena alleged to be outside of science's current ability to explain or measure.

Parapsychology - The study of paranormal psychic phenomena, including ESP.

Precognition - A form of ESP wherein a person is said to perceive information about places or events through paranormal means before they happen.

Psychic - The ability to perceive information hidden from the normal senses through what is described as extrasensory perception.

Psychokinesis - The direct influence of the mind in relation to the control or movement of physical matter.  Examples of psychokinesis could include distorting or moving an object without physically touching it.

Telepathy - The transfer of information on thoughts or feelings between individuals by means other than the five typical senses (taste, touch, hearing, feeling, and seeing).
